January 2021: Welcome to the first ever edition of Richmond Hill MPP Daisy Wai's 'Monday Matters'! Special thanks to honorable guests Steve from York Regional Police and Nikki/Maryam from the Iranian Community in Richmond Hill for their respective presentations. See you all next month!
March 2021: This edition of Monday Matters directly coincided with International Women's Day 2021, and featured various guests and community groups accordingly.
April 2021: Includes updates from the Labour Minister, a presentation on preventing online fraud by the York Regional Police, and 'Getting to Know Your Neighbor' featuring the Hellenic Society of York Region
May 2021: This edition of 'Monday Matters' features updates on the vaccine rollout by the province from MPP Wai, updates on the current state of affairs of the Ontario tourism industry from the Minister herself, and special, local guests such as the Bayview Hill Neighborhood Community Watch group and Italian Community of Richmond Hill
June 2021: Among the other special guests, this edition of Monday Matters, in honour of Mental Health month, featured the Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions himself.
July 2021: Featuring a special presentation by the York Regional Police
August 2021: The PA of the Ministry of Education takes your questions just in time for back-to-school season!
September 2021: The Minister of Colleges and Universities helps to clarify recent adjustments to safety and capacity plans for post secondary students, especially in the context of the upcoming vaccine certificate. Special guests also include Vanessa from the TRCA and those from the Coptic Community of Richmond Hill.
October 2021: The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing speaks on identifying innovative housing options and encouraging transit oriented communities. The York Regional Police give a presentation on Hate Crimes, and we added our newest section of Monday Matters, Shout Outs!
November 2021: The Associate Minister for Small Business and Red Tape Reduction joins us, as well as the York Region Alliance of African Canadian Communities.
